Resource of the Month...
...is a new feature on the library website. Each month a different library database or collection will be featured, raising awareness of information sources which may be unknown to those studying in other fields. The first featured resource - for March 2013 - is Berg Fashion Library. How many UEL psychologists know about this intriguing collection? Keep an eye on the Resource of the Month webpage to see what will be featured next...

Further updates to PEP-Web...
...have gone live, only a short while after the previous update. They have added another year to the archive meaning it now covers 1871 to 2009 (the previous update added 2008, this one adds 2009). They have also added 3 new journals (well, 2 in the English language - the third one is in Greek!) and 27 new books. To access this excellent database of psychoanalytic literature, simply follow the link from the library website: PEP-Web.

Text-a-Librarian...
...is the latest addition to our popular 'Ask-a-Librarian' service (which already includes instant chat). As the name suggests, you simply send a text message to the library and we will text you back the answer. It's particularly good for quick questions such as 'what time is the library open until?' or 'what's my Athens log-in?'. Further information, including the number to send your text message to, is available from the Ask-a-Librarian webpage.

APA Style quick guide...
…free online, is now available from the APA: http://www.apastyle.org/learn/quick-guide-on-references.aspx. It isn't a complete guide (they expect you to purchase (or borrow from the library!) the official Publication Manual for that), but it does nicely supplement some of the other great online guides. It also features recommendations for a few reference types which were not included in the official Publication Manual e.g. how to reference Facebook and Twitter.
